Reading

I like reading fiction. I like novels and sometimes but not very often I like to read plays. My favourite novels now are Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by Joanne Rowling and The Hound of the Baskervilles by Conan Doyle. My favourite plays are Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and Look Back in Anger by John Osborne. I like to read books because they are entertaining. I don’t want to read a book for learning. We have many textbooks for that. When I pick up a novel I want to find an interesting plot and some great characters like Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter books. Fred and George are very funny characters and they make me laugh. Also, all Harry Potter books have great plots. After you start reading a Harry Potter novel it is hard to stop. That is why I like these books. I only read plays because I don’t like going to the theatre. I have read very few plays but I really like Look Back in Anger by John Osborne. The characters in this play are young and they discuss the problems which young people usually have. There is very little action in Look Back in Anger but the dialogues are very interesting. I don’t like poems because I think they are boring. I only read poetry if our Literature teachers tells us to do it.

I don’t think that people will ever stop reading books. But I think there will be fewer and fewer paper books. Paper books will slowly be replaced by e-books.
